About
In Your Eyes Ezine started in 1999, after years spent making paper fanzines. The aim has not changed since: to give real support to bands, writers, and anyone with something to say and a way of saying it.
We work differently from conventional publications. Our contributors do not just write — they handle design and distribution too, in a genuine DIY spirit. Self-production and complete independence are not a marketing position for us; they are how the thing has always been built.
One point worth stating plainly: we do not review everything we receive. What goes online is our decision. We follow no fixed rules and no dogma, because what we want to publish is an honest point of view rather than a catalogue.
This English edition
Everything here is translated from the Italian original at iyezine.com, where the full archive lives — more than twenty-five years of it.
This is a selection, not a mirror. We translate the pieces we think will travel: records and books that a reader outside Italy can actually find and listen to, interviews with artists who tour beyond our borders, and the columns that say something regardless of where you read them.
Every translation is reviewed by a human before it goes online. Nothing is published automatically.
Each piece links back to its Italian original. If you read Italian, go there — there is a great deal more of it.
